Strategy description:

Piraeus Bank CSR project “Curaj Romania” was launched exactly one year before the Olympic Games from London, being designed to gather Romania’s voices of encouragement for Olympic athletes. After the 2012 event, we realized the Romanian values are beyond the borders of sports so the athletes support enlarged and now covers all the domains where Romanians proved to be remarkable. The project grew naturally based on the real content, fans involvement, free press, TV endorsementand media.


The apps developed for Curaj Romania were developed to support the voice of the page, in the pre Olympic period; the apps were gathering the encouragement messages of fans towards their favorite athletes. In this stage, in order to boost this “traffic” we counted a lot on the real time content (photos from the major events) and we used the glories of the Golden era of Romanian sports, persons who endorsed a lot the need of support for the nowadays athletes
